The daylong retreat included in these workshops will be Saturday, Oct. 28 from 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Shenandoah Valley in Stephens City, VA. (*Per MBSR tradition, former students of Shell’s will always be invited to attend future MBSR daylongs – held 3-4 times/year – as her guest.)
Because these workshops are running concurrently, if you need to miss a class, you are welcome to make it up in the other that week.
The $415 fee includes all eight 2.5-hour classes, a workbook, and the daylong retreat. (Any of Shell’s former students who would like to repeat can register for 1/2-price.)
If you’d like to learn more, please read about MBSR here.
If you’d like to meet the teacher, and get a taste of MBSR, Shell will be offering a 2-hour “Introduction the MBSR” workshop on Sunday, Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. – noon at the Dharma Studio in Winchester, VA. Fee: $25.
This workshop is available for public registration, and is part of Valley Health’s Integrative Care Program. Payment is required prior to attendance to save your space, which is limited.
*Registration is available prior to the second class if space allows.
Please contact us for any of the following reasons:
1. If you sign up close to the date of the workshop (or before the second class), to inquire about space availability, and to receive instructions.
2. If you’d like to pay with a check.
Payment Plan: If you would like an extended payment plan, Paypal’s Bill Me Later option is available at checkout (see below). It allows a six-month payment option.

Does insurance cover this? The MBSR program is considered an educational program, and is not eligible for insurance coverage from most companies. Individuals who are referred to the program by their doctor may be able to file for reimbursement, but it is up to you to negotiate with your insurance company. Supporting documentation (receipts, letter of purpose from the program, etc..) is available on request.
*Note: Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive detailed instructions, along with a questionnaire to be filled out prior to the first class. (*If for some reason you don’t receive these within one day, please contact us.)
